St. George's University (SGU) is a university in Grenada, West Indies, chartered by the Grenada Parliament in 1976. It began as a medical school and now has four schools: the School of Medicine, the School of Veterinary Medicine, the School of Arts and Sciences and the School of Graduate Studies, on a 42-acre campus in Grenada. The School of Medicine has been accredited by CAAM-HP since 2007, and the DVM programme is accredited by the AVMA Council on Education, so its graduates can pursue licensure in the US and Canada after passing the NAVLE.
- Doctor of Medicine (MD): 4-year programme and 5-, 6- and 7-year tracks
- Dual degrees: BSc/MD, MD/MSc and MD/MPH, plus a medical PhD
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM), 4 years
- Undergraduate, dual-degree and postbaccalaureate preclinical programmes
- Graduate programmes in business, public health, research, information science and veterinary medicine
The MD has three entry terms a year, in January, April and August, and clinical training takes place in affiliated hospitals in the US or UK. SGU has partnerships with Northumbria University (since 2006) and Waterloo (since 2025). Applicants from countries not considered English-speaking need an English exam, for example IELTS Academic 7.0. Students with disabilities can register with the Student Accessibility and Accommodation Services.
