UCNJ Union College of Union County, NJ is a comprehensive community college in New Jersey, with its admissions office at 1033 Springfield Avenue in Cranford and further campuses in Elizabeth and Plainfield. It offers career programmes, transfer pathways, developmental education and lifelong learning, and students can earn an associate degree or a career certificate. Courses are taught face to face, in blended format and online.

Applicants to degree programmes submit a high school diploma or GED. Before enrolling, students take a placement test in English and mathematics, which does not affect admission; students whose native language is not English take an English for Speakers of Other Languages test instead. International students follow a separate admissions process.

Fees

Tuition for the 2026-27 academic year (Fall 2026 to Summer 2027):

  • Part time (fewer than 12 credit hours per semester): US$225 per credit hour for New Jersey residents, US$425 for out-of-state and international students
  • Full time (12-18 credit hours per semester): US$2,745 per semester for New Jersey residents, US$5,235 for out-of-state and international students
  • American Success Program for international students: US$7,000 tuition plus a US$500 platform fee

Other 2026-27 fees include a US$10 application fee and a US$250 international student registration fee.
