Université de la Polynésie française

University, Graduate school in Faa'a Tahiti, France

The Université de la Polynésie française (UPF) is the university of French Polynesia. It has welcomed its students for the start of the 2026-27 academic year. Teaching covers bachelor's degrees (licence), such as the Licence STES and a Licence Professorat des Écoles for future primary school teachers, master's degrees such as the Master CCA, and doctoral research; recent theses include satellite monitoring of atoll coastlines and the effects of climate change on renewable energy in Tahiti.

The university has officially created an Institut d'Administration des Entreprises (IAE) de la Polynésie française, and its Maison des Sciences de l'Homme du Pacifique has been renamed Fare Pasifika. The UPF also supports doctoral training in Cambodia and offers Mandarin courses. Applications for international mobility in the second semester of 2026-27 are open.

Applications to the first year of a French national master's degree are made through the national Mon Master platform. Students with lasting financial difficulties may receive an annual allowance (allocation annuelle), which also exempts them from tuition fees.
