The Université Perpignan Via Domitia (UPVD) is a multidisciplinary university in Perpignan, in the Occitanie region of southern France, between Toulouse, Montpellier and Barcelona. It traces its origins to 1350. Besides Perpignan, it teaches in Narbonne (law and economic and social administration) and Font-Romeu (sport sciences).
Studies follow the European licence-master-doctorate system and are organised in faculties and institutes:
- Arts and humanities
- Law and economics
- Sciences
- Sport sciences (STAPS)
- Business administration (IAE)
- Technology (IUT)
- Engineering (Sup-EnR)
- Franco-Catalan cross-border studies
International students can come on exchange (Erasmus+ and cooperation agreements) or as individual degree students. The Centre Universitaire d'Études Françaises (CUEF), which holds the Label Qualité FLE, runs French courses all year round. A free International Welcome Desk helps international students with residence permits, health insurance and other formalities, and in 2025 the university received the "Bienvenue en France" label from Campus France for five years.
