University, Graduate school in Sant Julià de Lòria, Andorra

The Universitat d'Andorra (University of Andorra, UdA) is the public university of the Principality of Andorra, in the Pyrenees. Higher education in the country began in September 1988 with a nursing school and a computer science school; the university was formally created in 1997, and its campus has been in the centre of Sant Julià de Lòria since 2004. In the 2024-25 academic year it had 1,909 students and offered 16 official study programmes.

Some online official studies are taught in partnership with the UOC. Students can start in September (autumn semester) or February (spring semester), and pre-enrolment is done online through a form within the period set for each programme. Applicants with qualifications from outside the Andorran system need access to higher education granted by the Andorran Government. The university offers grants for international mobility and internships.

Admission

  • Bachelor's degrees: Andorran high school diploma, Andorran Advanced Professional Diploma, university entrance exam for people over 25, or an equivalent qualification recognised by the Government of Andorra
  • Master's degrees: an Andorran bachelor's degree in the corresponding field or a recognised equivalent
  • Doctoral Programme: an Andorran master's degree or a recognised official equivalent

Holders of qualifications from other education systems must be granted access to higher education by the Andorran Government. Pre-enrolment is online and free of charge.

Scholarships and financial aid

  • 50% discount on enrolment and registration fees for students from large families or single-parent families
  • 100% discount on first-year credits (up to 60) for students with an honours final mark in their baccalaureate from the Andorran, Spanish or French systems
  • Fee exemption for students officially recognised as persons with disabilities
  • University grants for international mobility and compulsory internships
  • Means-tested study grants from the Andorran Government

Enrolment fees can be paid in instalments when a student enrols for at least 15 credits.
