The University of Zagreb (Sveučilište u Zagrebu) is a university in the Croatian capital, Zagreb, and describes itself as the oldest and largest university in Croatia. According to its website it has 68,935 students. It is made up of faculties, art academies, libraries and other member institutions.

Study levels include:

  • Undergraduate (prijediplomski) and graduate (diplomski) programmes
  • Integrated programmes
  • Professional (stručni) programmes
  • Postgraduate specialist and doctoral programmes, including joint doctorates (cotutelle)
  • Programmes taught in English

For international students the university offers Croatian language courses for foreigners, an international student exchange office and welcome events for foreign students; according to the university, the foreign students at its latest welcome week came from 32 countries, most often from Spain, Germany and France. Student services include counselling, health and psychological support, and an office for students with disabilities. The rectorate's registered address is Trg Republike Hrvatske 14, but since 30 June 2023 it has been working temporarily at Ulica Radoslava Cimermana 88 (SEECEL building).
