Warnborough College Ireland (WCI) is a distance-learning college established in 1997 and based at The Capel Building, Mary's Abbey, in Dublin, Ireland. Students study online from wherever they live, work one-on-one with a personal academic mentor and can build their programme around their background, goals and schedule. Degrees can be earned through research, instruction, projects or publication, and credits are expressed in ECTS. According to the college, it is a self-regulating, self-accredited institution that awards degrees under its own Articles of Association.
The college offers:
- Doctorates: PhD by research, project, instruction or publication, a Doctor of Business Administration and subject PhDs such as Creative Writing or the History of Ideas
- Master's degrees, including MAs, an MFA in Studio Art or Photography and an International Executive MBA
- Bachelor's degrees such as a BSc in Psychology or Agriculture and a BBA
- Professional development certificates and diplomas
Some programmes include face-to-face support at certain learning centres only, and some are dual degrees with Universidad Superior de Guadalajara. Applicants complete an online form with supporting documents and a €100 application fee; those who are not native English speakers must prove their English level (at least IELTS 6.5 at bachelor's level). Prior learning and career history can count towards a degree through Advanced Placement. WCI also takes part in Erasmus+ funded projects.

As a rule, a bachelor's programme requires a high school diploma, a master's requires a bachelor's degree and a doctorate requires a master's degree, but each application is assessed individually and relevant experience is taken into account. Applicants submit the online form with:
- CV and a brief autobiography
- A research proposal for research or project options (not for bachelor's programmes)
- Copies of all academic transcripts
- Two references and proof of identity
- A €100 application fee
Successful applicants receive a provisional offer and have up to four weeks to accept it.
Applicants whose native language is not English, and who did not study in English at university, must provide formal proof of proficiency:
- Bachelor's or below: TOEFL iBT 79 or IELTS 6.5
- Master's: TOEFL iBT 94 or IELTS 7
- Doctorates: TOEFL iBT 102 or IELTS 7.5
The college may ask for a Zoom interview or further documents.
Warnborough offers a range of scholarships open to anyone; applicants over 60 automatically qualify for a WISE Scholarship. Scholarship requests must be submitted together with the application for admission. Paying the full fees upfront gives a 7.5% reduction, and credits recognised from other institutions (APEL) can lower the total tuition.
