Created in 1996, WAYRA's Spanish immersion program in Tamarindo Beach, Costa Rica, is the perfect choice to learn Spanish in a formal environment while also enjoying surfing, kayaking, snorkeling, canopy, fishing and many other outdoors activities. WAYRA works in association with Instituto Cervantes and is a recognized DELE examination center.

We offer all levels from absolute beginner to advanced. Classes start each Monday during the whole year round. Classes are 4 hours a day in the morning or the afternoon.

There are no special admission requirements.

• 1 week Spanish classes: $280.00
• 2 weeks: $540.00
• 3 weeks: $790.00
• 4 weeks: $980.00
• ad. weeks $245.00

Students can choose to live in one of student houses located in Tamarindo --within walking distance of the school and the beach-- or to stay with one of our host families in the nearby Villareal and Santa Rosa. Host families go though a careful selection process.

These are the weekly rates (Sunday to Sunday):
• Host family: $140.00
• Student house El Mar: $180.00
• Student house La Carolina: $230.00
• Student house Wayra: $230.00

We organize twice a week free activities such as Volleyball at the beach, BBQ at the student houses, Latin Dance Lessons etc. Many other activities like surfing, kayaking, canopy, horse back riding, sailing etc are available for a special student rate.
