The purpose of this master’s degree is to give students the knowledge and clinical abilities required to work independently within the Ophthalmological specialty of Oculoplastics, Orbit and Tear Ducts, and the understanding and skills required to conduct research. The courses objectives are: To get a high level of knowledge in oculoplastics, orbit and tear ducts based on evidence-based medicine; To gain practical experience that enables students to work autonomously; To learn how to use this specialisation as part of a multi-disciplinary team and with experts in specific areas, that promotes the trade of knowledge, creativity and innovation; To understand and gain experience handling cutting-edge oculoplastic diagnostic and treatment tools; To nurture an ongoing desire to distribute knowledge, teach and further one’s education; To attain experience in research and project assessment; and To obtain the knowledge required to perform oculoplastic surgery.
