SLU-Madrid’s minor in Middle East studies tackles many historical and modern issues related to the Middle East. Through the Middle East studies program students gain a more profound understanding of this key area of the world, enhancing other areas of study like history, political science or business.
SLU’s Middle East studies minor requires at least 16 credit hours, including two semesters of university-level Arabic however, this does not apply to native speakers of Arabic or other Middle Eastern language, such Farsi, Kurdish, Turkish or Hebrew.
