Byron Language School (Byron strani jezici) is a private language school in Pula, Istria, Croatia, based at Villa Matilde, Budicinova 25. It was founded in 1991 and, according to the school, was the first private language school in Istria; it runs courses all year round. The school is directed by Spomenka Lolić.
- General English and Italian courses for children and adults, at all levels
- English preparation courses for the Cambridge exams FCE, CAE and CPE
- Croatian courses and workshops for foreigners, individual or in groups
- Creative seasonal workshops for children and adults
- Summer English programmes in England for 12 to 17-year-olds
Individual Croatian courses start every Monday, suit all levels from absolute beginner to advanced, and can be scheduled between 8:00 and 21:00. Beginners are advised to start with an intensive survival course of 60 to 80 lessons over two weeks, usually taught by two or three teachers and practised in real situations outside the classroom. Programmes are also offered for teachers of Slavic languages. In autumn 2026, English courses start on 15 September and 6 October. Byron also offers translation and interpreting, licensed tourist guides, and help with accommodation and transfers.
