Central Ohio Technical College (COTC) is a public two-year technical college, based in Newark, Ohio. The institution was established in 1971 and shares a campus with Ohio State University. It also operates facilities in Pataskala, Knox and Coshocton. The institution provides 50 different associate degree (including majors and minors) and certificate programs, including the Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.), Associate of Applied Business (A.A.B.), and Associate of Technical Studies (A.T.S.) degrees. Furthermore, career-oriented educational opportunities are made available in Accounting, Computer Programming, Digital Media Design, Electronic Engineering, Forensic Science, Business Management, Drafting and Design, Advanced Manufacturing, Electrical Trades, and many others. There is a newly developed Workforce Development Innovation Center, which means that COTC is well-equipped to meet the customized training and education needs of the business communities. The campus also offers a great diversity of student recreation and cultural activities, with more than 50 student organizations and clubs.
