Conestoga College was founded as a small community college in 1967, since when it has grown to become one of Canada’s most respected polytechnic institutes. It offers a full array of educational and training programs – from short courses to four-year degrees, combined with research activities contributing to the innovation of southern Ontario. The main campus of the university is in Kitchener (Doon); there is also the Waterloo campus, which has formed as a centre of excellence for skilled trades and culinary training. Furthermore, The Guelph campus has evolved to become a provincial leader in motive power trades, and the Ingersoll campus is home to Conestoga’s unique Powerline Technician program. The university has formed close relationships with business and industry to ensure the relevance of its programs.
