Country Day School

Country Day School in Largo, Florida, now operates as Country Day World School, the flagship campus of Country Day Schools Tampa Bay (CDS Tampa Bay), a group of private Montessori schools in the Tampa Bay area for children from 8 weeks old to grade 8. The Largo campus covers 14 acres and offers Montessori education from infant level through 8th grade, with animal science and equestrian programmes. The group's other campuses are Carrollwood and Hyde Park (Pre-K to grade 6), Town 'n' Country (toddler to Kindergarten) and Bloomingdale (toddler to grade 3).

CDS Tampa Bay schools are accredited by the Florida Council of Independent Schools (FCIS) and by Cognia; the group also has schools accredited by the American Montessori Society (AMS) and the Association Montessori Internationale (AMI). Middle school students take part in international travel.

Admission starts with an inquiry form, followed by an on-campus admissions meeting and tour, an online documentation checklist and a student visit, which may include an assessment depending on the grade. An admissions committee then decides. The school advises families to start six to 12 months before the desired start date. It accepts Florida state-funded scholarships, including Step Up For Students and the AAA Scholarship Foundation.
