EPF is a general engineering school (école d'ingénieurs généraliste) in France, founded in 1925 with the aim of bringing women into science and technology. It has about 2,700 students of 130 nationalities, 40% of its engineering graduates are women, and it has 16,000 alumni working in 160 countries. Teaching takes place on four campuses: Paris-Cachan, in the Alembert building that housed the ENS Paris-Saclay until 2020, Troyes, Montpellier and Saint-Nazaire.
The main programme is a five-year general engineering degree leading to the CTI engineering diploma. Other options include:

- Franco-German engineering degree in Robotics and Production with the Hochschule München
- Franco-Québécois binational programme
- Three bachelor's programmes in engineering (bac+3, RNCP level 6)
- French for engineers: intensive summer programme and courses during the year
Most programmes are taught in French. International students can also take English-taught options: the third year and the Engineering Management, Data Engineering and Energy & Environment specialisations. All three bachelor's programmes are registered at RNCP level 6 (bac+3); the Energy and Data Sciences bachelors also confer the licence degree awarded by the French Ministry of Higher Education. Work-study (alternance) is possible in the second or third year.
Admission
International applicants to the engineering programme need at least a high school diploma equivalent to a scientific baccalaureate and a solid background in mathematics, physics, chemistry and, depending on the speciality, computer science. Students who have already begun higher education may apply for direct admission to the higher cycle. Applications for the English-taught options are made through an online form; for the bachelor's programmes, French applicants use Parcoursup (final year and bac+1) or the AvenirPlus portal (bac+2 to bac+4).
Language requirements
Programmes taught in French require level B1 in French. Programmes taught in English require level B2 in English and level A2 in French. The EPF French Program offers an intensive summer course and French classes throughout the year.
