Labette Community College

Labette Community College (LCC) is a community college in Parsons, in southeast Kansas. It was founded in 1923 as Parsons Junior College, moved to its present campus at 14th and Broadway in 1963 and took its current name in 1978. Today it is a comprehensive community college serving Southeast Kansas and the surrounding four-state region.

The college has a student-to-faculty ratio of 14:1 and a three-day weekend every week. Besides regular semesters, there are 8-week sessions and a winter intersession, and some courses are taught online. LCC has open enrolment: anyone who has completed high school or holds an equivalent qualification is accepted, and the application is free. The Cardinal Villas are the recommended student housing at the main campus. According to the college, most first-time, full-time students qualify for financial aid.

Admission

LCC is an open-enrolment college: any student who has completed high school or holds an equivalent of a high school diploma is accepted. The admissions application is free, documents can be uploaded online, and the admissions team encourages applicants to schedule a campus visit.

Student housing is available at the main campus in Parsons: the Cardinal Villas are the college's recommended student housing community. The college's cost-of-attendance figures distinguish between students living on and off campus.
