Parsons Paris
Higher education centre, Graduate school in Paris, France
Parsons Paris is the Paris campus of Parsons School of Design and part of The New School, its parent university in New York. It was established in 1921, when Parsons opened an academic centre in Paris, as the first American art and design school in the city. Parsons Paris is a registered branch campus of The New School and is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE).
The campus shares resources and a curricular foundation with Parsons in New York and offers American-style degree programmes in art and design, such as the BFA in Art, Media, and Technology. Teaching follows an interdisciplinary approach with an atelier-like experience and close contact between students and faculty, and students take part in projects with industry partners; the school reports 54 collaborations with Paris brands and organisations since 2018. According to the school, 90% of students received merit-based scholarships in 2023, and around 15% of students study abroad each year.
Parsons Paris also runs intensive summer programmes in art, design, fashion and photography for students who want to deepen their knowledge and skills.
