Redlands Community College

Vocational school in El Reno, The United States

Redlands Community College is a fully accredited two-year college in El Reno, Oklahoma, near Oklahoma City, and part of the Oklahoma State System of Higher Education. It was founded in 1938 within the El Reno public schools and took its current name in 1991. The main campus at 1300 S. Country Club Road covers 54 acres, and agriculture is taught at the Darlington Agriculture Education and Applied Research Center. The college serves nearly 5,000 credit students each year.

  • Associate of Arts in Liberal Studies and other transfer degrees for continuing at a four-year university
  • Nursing (RN, LPN to RN and transfer towards a BSN)
  • Career technology programmes, from accounting and aviation maintenance to HVACR and surgical technology
  • Agriculture, criminal justice, computer science and cyber security
  • Micro-credentials

Classes are offered on campus and online. The college is authorised to enrol international students on the F-1 student visa and issues the Form I-20 once all admission conditions are met. Students can live on campus in the Cougar Crossing apartments, and the college competes in NJCAA sports such as baseball, basketball, cross country, women's golf and soccer.

Admission

International applicants are admitted on the F-1 student visa only. They submit:

  • High school transcripts, with a certified English translation if not in English
  • A bank statement showing at least US$18,900 available, in the name of the student or a sponsor
  • Proof of English language skills
  • A copy of a valid passport

Transfer students also send all college transcripts (foreign ones evaluated by WES), Form I-94, the I-20 from their last school and a letter of good standing.

Language requirements

International applicants prove their English with one of the following:

  • TOEFL: 61 (internet-based) or 500 (paper-based)
  • IELTS 5.5
  • PTE Academic 44
  • iTEP Academic 3.5
  • 24 completed credit hours at a US college or university, or a US high school diploma

Housing

Students can live on campus in the Cougar Crossing Student Apartments (72 apartments):

  • Two- and four-bedroom furnished apartments with private bedrooms
  • Full kitchens and bathrooms, utilities and wireless internet included
  • Individual leases
  • Fitness centre, cyber lounge, basketball court, on-site laundry and 24-hour surveillance

Rooms are assigned once a student has been admitted and has enrolled full time.
