The Hutchins School

The Hutchins School is an Anglican day and boarding school for boys in Sandy Bay, about 5 km from the centre of Hobart, Tasmania (Australia). Founded in 1846, it teaches boys from Pre-Kindergarten (age 3) to Year 12 on a single campus, and runs an outdoor education centre at Southport, about 100 km south of Hobart. It is a founding member of the International Boys' Schools Coalition and a member of the Association of Independent Schools of Tasmania and Round Square.

- Senior School (Years 10-12)
In Years 11 and 12 students can also take subjects at St Michael's Collegiate and Fahan School. The John Bednall Centre for Excellence provides support classes for students with learning difficulties and extension programmes for gifted students. Co-curricular activities include music, performing arts, debating, sport and the Duke of Edinburgh's International Award.
International students are accepted, and boarders live in Burbury House. Scholarships for entry in 2027 include community scholarships for Years 7-12 with up to 75% off tuition fees. Enrolment enquiries go to the Enrolments Assistant on 03 6221 4236.

Housing
Hutchins is a day and boarding school for boys on a single campus that includes a student residence. Boarders, among them international students from many countries, live in the school's boarding house, Burbury House.
