University, Graduate school in St. Augustine, Trinidad and Tobago
The University of the West Indies (UWI) St. Augustine is the campus of The UWI in St. Augustine, Trinidad and Tobago. The UWI is one university with five campuses, and St. Augustine serves 17 countries of the Commonwealth Caribbean. The campus is fully accredited and lists the Accreditation Council of Trinidad and Tobago as its accreditation body.
St. Augustine offers over 200 programmes across eight faculties and 38 departments and research centres, with certificate, diploma, bachelor's and postgraduate programmes. Faculties include:
- Engineering
- Food and Agriculture, the only such faculty in The UWI network
- Humanities and Education
- Law
- Medical Sciences
- Science and Technology
- Sport
Some certificate, diploma and degree programmes accept applicants with five CSEC passes, an associate's degree, professional qualifications or experience, and there is a January intake for selected programmes. Applications are made online, with separate checklists for undergraduate, postgraduate, transfer and international applicants. International students are supported by the International Office, and the Student Accommodation Office helps with on- and off-campus housing. The campus also has a wide range of sports facilities.
