The Universidad Abierta Interamericana (UAI) is a university in Argentina, founded in 1995 and part of the Vaneduc network, a secular organisation working in educational advice and research since 1942. Its administrative seat is at Chacabuco 90 in central Buenos Aires. It has locations across the city of Buenos Aires and Greater Buenos Aires (including Almagro, Belgrano, Berazategui, Lomas de Zamora, Castelar, Ituzaingó and San Isidro), a regional seat in Rosario and the UAIOnline distance-learning campus. The university states that it has 33,000 students and that it was the first university in South America accredited by the French agency Hcéres.
UAI offers more than 100 short-cycle, undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, including technical degrees, licenciaturas, specialisations, master's degrees and doctorates, many also available online. Teaching is organised in ten faculties:

- Education Sciences and Educational Psychology
- Economics, Law and Political Science
- Medicine and Health Sciences, Psychology, Human Movement and Sport
- Information Technology, Tourism and Hospitality
Applicants complete a compulsory introductory levelling course. International applicants must also have their secondary-school certificate legalised and validated in Argentina, and those born in non-Spanish-speaking countries must pass a Spanish language exam.

Alongside licenciaturas and professional degrees, UAI offers shorter technical degrees (tecnicaturas), some at its Colegio Universitario and some online.

- Doctorates in architecture and urbanism, law, medical sciences, computer science and university higher education
- Master's degrees such as business management, administrative law, sport psychology, critical cardiology and information technology (online)
- Specialisations in fields such as artificial intelligence (online), orthodontics and university teaching
- Postdoctoral programme in information technology
Admission
Undergraduate applicants need:
- Legalised secondary-school transcript (or proof that the certificate is in progress)
- Identity document, photo and signed enrolment form
- Medical fitness certificate signed by a registered doctor
- Payment of the enrolment fee
- Pass in the compulsory introductory levelling course
Applicants over 25 without a secondary-school certificate may be admitted after assessment by a committee. Foreign applicants must have their secondary certificate legalised in their home country, translated by a sworn translator if needed, and validated by Argentina's Ministry of Education. Students transferring from another institution can have up to 70% of subjects recognised.
Language requirements
Applicants born in a non-Spanish-speaking country must pass a Spanish language exam before taking the compulsory introductory course. The exam fee is 10% of the enrolment fee, and a paid Spanish course is available as an optional preparation.
