University, Graduate school in Luanda, Angola
The Universidade Católica de Angola (UCAN) is the higher-education institution of the Catholic Church in Angola, based in Luanda. Decree No. 38-A/92 of 7 August 1992 authorised the Episcopal Conference of Angola and São Tomé (CEAST) to create it, and the first preparatory classes, in law and in economics and management, began on 22 February 1999. Since 2009 its main site has been in the Palanca district of Luanda, at Avenida Pedro de Castro Van-Dunem 24.
According to the university, it has 5 faculties and 4 institutes, 10 research centres, 4 campuses and 7 master's programmes. Its academic units include:
- Faculdade de Direito (law)
- Faculdade de Economia e Gestão (economics and management)
- Faculdade de Engenharia (engineering)
- Faculdade de Ciências Humanas (human sciences)
- Faculdade de Teologia (theology)
- Instituto Superior de Ciências da Saúde (health sciences)
Undergraduate degrees (licenciatura) named on the site include telecommunications engineering, computer engineering, nutrition, Portuguese language, and economics and management. The first academic master's started in 2015 in the Faculty of Economics, in energy economics and management and in development economics. The Católica Luanda Business School teaches the Executive MBA Atlântico and other postgraduate courses. The university reports that it takes part in Erasmus+ as part of its internationalisation strategy.

Graduate programmes
UCAN offers seven master's programmes, according to its website, and runs a School of Postgraduate Studies created in 2008. The first academic master's, launched in 2015 in the Faculty of Economics, covered energy economics and management and development economics. The Católica Luanda Business School teaches the Executive MBA Atlântico.
