York University is a university in Toronto, Ontario, founded in 1959. It has three core campuses in the Greater Toronto Area: Keele, Markham and the bilingual Glendon campus, plus an EcoCampus in Costa Rica. More than 53,500 students are enrolled in over 200 undergraduate and graduate degree programmes, including more than 10,000 international students. York has over 360 academic and research partners in more than 60 countries, and a new School of Medicine is due to open in 2028.

According to the university, 70% of programmes have a co-op option. York also offers graduate studies and continuing studies. International applicants who apply only to York use the university's own online application; others apply through the Ontario Universities' Application Centre (OUAC). Residences serve both undergraduate and graduate students.

Fees
Approximate annual tuition for a full-time student in the 2026-27 academic year (fall/winter), in Canadian dollars:
- Most programmes (Arts and Sciences): C$6,200 domestic, C$40,000 international
- Business: C$8,000-11,000 domestic, C$40,000-44,000 international
- Computer Science: C$8,800 domestic, C$38,000 international
- Engineering: C$10,600 domestic, C$47,000 international
Supplementary fees of about C$40-50 per credit are added. Health and dental cover is C$1,151 for international students, including UHIP. Figures are estimates published by the university.
Housing
York has residences for both undergraduate and graduate students at its Keele, Glendon and Markham campuses, and Housing Services also gives information on off-campus housing. The university estimates residence or apartment costs at C$9,000 to C$13,000 for eight months, plus C$4,350 to C$8,000 for a meal plan.
