Crop Science is the course of study that seeks to ascertain what manner plants spring up, flourish, prosper and thrive; propagate, struggle against different kinds of plant diseases and insect pests; how they interrelate and concur with the forces of nature and the environment.

It is where in Crop Science the student learns how to use the technique of biological, chemical and the principles of plants for yield enhancement. The discipline teaches the methodology of transforming light to make it as generative force for food, supply, or related economic good, for example flowering plants. It is in school that provides him the whole knowledge of crop science. He learns to carry out research and make tests and trial runs to achieve what aims he has toward the discipline. The aim is the end result for management of crops and the ultimate goal: successful produce.

The student has career areas to engage with, and these are some of them: Production of horticultural crops; Promoting and selling the produce; Agronomy; Selling chemicals for farming; and Plant breeding. Standard modules are taken by students of the course. In the first year, the student has the theory of crop science, which includes biochemistry, plant biology, genetics, and entomology. Whereas agriculture and food industries have close harmonic relations with the commercial application of biology, crop science course straightened the attachment.

The next two years that follows shift the subject from theory of crop science to employment and application. Investigations and inquiries into the system of design were conducted to prepare for the start of some research projects being carried on by the biosciences (anatomy, biochemistry, biology, ecology, genetics, microbiology, molecular biology, physiology, and zoology).

In the region of agroecology (study of the relation between agriculture and the environment), biotechnology (use of biological processes in industrial production), field crops, administration of business and application of the principles of economics, there are extensive line up of modules to be used. As it were explained visibly in school that crop science is engaged with crop production, despite this, the protection of the wide portion of the ecosystem and the support and handling of the recreational environment were not neglected.

At the end of the study, the student should have a deep knowledge of the principle and practical facet of the course. He can translate into concrete form the analysis, presentation, study and communication for practical use. He can be an M.S. in Crop Science, or a Ph.D. in Crop Science, or Agronomy and Crop Science Degree holder depending on the level of learning he has chosen.
