A Bachelor of Science degree in Parks and Recreation Management is the first step towards achieving an exhilarating position in this popular and ever-growing field.  Like most B.S. degrees, the program typically spans four years or eight full semesters, with coursework evenly split between general education requirements and core classes in the Parks and Recreation Management discipline.  The general education requirements are similar to those in other Bachelor programs, including classes in mathematics; English composition; health and behavioral sciences; history; sociology; speech; humanities; and language.  Core requirements in the discipline can either be taken concurrently with the general education classes (recommended) or taken in the final two years of the program.  Depending on the institution in which the program is offered, the core classes required for the program—classes that are directly related to Parks and Recreation Management—may include courses with titles such as:
