No, Honorlock doesn't see your physical keyboard or keystrokes directly but uses a browser extension to monitor your activity within the browser, detecting attempts to access other tabs/apps, copy/paste, or resize windows, and can flag forbidden keyboard shortcuts; it also uses your webcam to watch your workspace and detect other devices (phones) using AI and a patent-protected method to spot unauthorized searches for exam content.

Can Honorlock see my keyboard?

Honorlock does not scan your network, your computer, your phone or any other devices on your network. Honorlock has no access to anyone's network or devices, nor could we unless we were given access by the owner or user. Furthermore, Honorlock does not route traffic from your device through our servers in any way.

What can Honorlock see on your screen?

What gets flagged by Honorlock?

Students that are completely out of view will be flagged. Restroom Breaks Allowed Permits exam takers to leave the webcam view for a short period of time. The exam taker's session will be flagged if they choose to utilize this.

Can Honorlock tell if you use your phone?

Proctors have the ability to view the screen and utilize the mouse and keyboard as if they were sitting next to you. Once the exam starts, your proctor will monitor everything on the computer screen, but can no longer utilize the your mouse and keyboard.

Can Honorlock detect if a phone is nearby?

How to disable Apple handoff detection?
