Honorlock monitors audio and video, and playing music can cause your exam to be flagged for high noise levels or unauthorized audio, potentially leading to investigation.

Can I use headphones with Honorlock?

Note: Honorlock will always allow exam takers to wear religious head coverings during assessments. Headphones Allowed Students can wear any headphones during their assessment. Background Noise Allowed Permits exam takers to be in an environment where other people are talking, there's excessive background noise, etc.

Can I play music during a proctored exam?

No websites other than Canvas and the Honorlock proctoring extension should be used or open while taking a proctored exam. Close all other programs and/or windows on the testing computer prior to logging into the proctored test environment. Make sure music/televisions are not playing in the background.

Does Honorlock detect sound?

During the exam, Honorlock can detect secondary devices, such as phones. Because the browser extension does not get installed onto secondary devices, Honorlock cannot procure data from those devices, nor can it capture web traffic from other devices on the student's network at the time of the exam.

Does Honorlock flag you for looking away?

All Honorlock exams require that the student remain visible during the entire length of the exam. Looking away, leaning out of sight, or walking away from the computer will likely raise a flag with the Honorlock AI proctoring technology and cause the exam to “pause” until you are back in focus.

Can Honorlock detect iPad?

No, Honorlock does not scan other devices on your network, such as phones and tablets. We have a patented process for detecting when a test taker attempts to search the internet for exam content, which involves filtering web content and recognizing exam questions from the Learning Management System (LMS).

Honorlock does not scan your network, your computer, your phone or any other devices on your network. Honorlock has no access to anyone's network or devices, nor could we unless we were given access by the owner or user. Furthermore, Honorlock does not route traffic from your device through our servers in any way.

Yes, your lungs can begin to heal after 7 years of vaping, with improvements starting in weeks and continuing for months or years as inflammation decreases and function improves, but the extent of recovery depends on the damage; quitting immediately is crucial, as prolonged heavy use can cause irreversible damage, though the body has significant capacity to repair itself. 

Can hotels tell if you vaped in the room?
