What does Respondus flag as suspicious?

Automated Video Analysis will automatically flag suspicious behavior during an exam. For example, if a student leaves the computer for a bit, or if a different person appears in the webcam recording during an exam, it will get flagged for the instructor.

How strict is the LockDown Browser?

Students are unable to open any browser other than the LockDown browser on the device they are using. This disallows them from searching for answers online while taking the exam. Also, students are not allowed to open other applications unless the professor specifically and selectable permits them to.

How often does the LockDown Browser track your eyes?

No, LockDown Browser does not record or monitor eye movement. While the LockDown Browser is designed to deter cheating by restricting what users can do in the browser during online examinations, it does not have the capability to track your eye movements.

Can Canvas see if you switch tabs if not proctored?

Similarly, Canvas does not natively detect tab switching during non-proctored quizzes. But with proctoring tools enabled, any attempts by students to switch tabs or browse unauthorized websites can be identified and prevented. Students are locked into the Canvas tab running the online test.

Can a teacher tell if you go to a different tab when taking a test on a Google Form?
