You must have a completed SRAR in order for your application to be reviewed. If you do not complete your SRAR, we will not review you for admission.

What happens if you miss your SRAR deadline?

If you do, you risk not receiving the portal invitation from the college until after the deadline to apply has passed. As a result, your SRAR information won't be on time. They won't make an exception for a missed deadline.

What happens if I make a mistake on SRAR?

Another common error is realizing you made an error in the SRAR (self-reported academic record), if a school uses it. Reach out to the admissions office and they can reactivate it for you so that you can correct the error.

Is the SRAR due at the same time as the application?

You will submit SRAR as part of your application process. You may choose to submit the application itself first, and then return to complete SRAR at a later date, but your application will not be complete without submitting it, along with the rest of your materials.

In general, using the SRAR allows colleges to review applications more quickly, because they do not have to wait for their systems to process students' transcripts as they come in.

Can I resubmit my SRAR?

If you have logged in to your previously submitted academic record to update it, please resubmit it when you are finished. Your SSAR/SRAR must be submitted for the Office of Admissions to access it. Review the data you have entered to ensure it is accurate.

Why do schools ask for SRAR?

The SRAR also sends the information to schools more quickly than waiting for an official transcript to be processed and arrive. Because the SRAR collects and standardizes all of the data, schools can quickly and easily receive, read, and assess student information. It even calculates your GPA!

Do all colleges require SRAR?

You will only have to do this section if one of the schools you are applying to requires it. Some popular schools that require self reported grades include: ASU, Loyola Marymount, NYU, Stanford, UOregon, UArizona, UMass, UWisconsin, USC.

Can you add schools after submitting SRAR?

You may add any of the colleges or universities listed onto your SRAR/SSAR. Once linked and submitted, each school will receive the SRAR/SSAR and any subsequent SRAR/SSAR updates.

What happens if you self report your grades wrong?

Important Note: DO NOT MAKE A MISTAKE WHEN SELF-REPORTING TEST SCORES. Colleges can rescind an offer of admission when a student intentionally or unintentionally self-reports their scores incorrectly.

Your past academic history at every institution is reviewed during the decision process to accept or deny you. If you neglect to submit all transcripts, you better have a reason that they will accept.

Should I put middle school grades on SRAR?

If you've already graduated from pre-university education, you should include 12th Grade. If you have not already graduated, include as much of 12th Grade as is available. o In education systems where 9th Grade is considered middle school, please exclude 9th Grade.

Do you put senior-year grades in SRAR?

All current, and scheduled, senior-year courses should be entered on your SRAR/SSAR. Under the drop-down titled Grade, please select “In Progress” for those courses for which you do not yet have grades, including semester two.

Do you put 12th grade courses on SRAR?

You will need to enter courses and grades for which you received high school credit, as well as current or upcoming 12th grade courses. Since accuracy is crucial, you should never enter courses or grades from memory.

Do colleges accept D grades?

Yes. Most colleges will forgive a bad grade if: 1) the rest of your grades fall within their usual GPA, 2) your SAT/ACT grades are reasonable, and 3) you offer some kind of explanation for your poor performance. Even with multiple D's, you could always go to a community college to start out with and then transfer.
