Why does parchment say my transcript is on hold?

A Parchment transcript on hold means your school has paused the request, usually due to an issue like owing money, incomplete grades, incorrect student info (name/DOB), library fines, or data migration, and you must contact the school directly to resolve the specific reason and get it released. Parchment can't release the hold; only your school's registrar or admin can clear it once the problem is fixed, and they should've emailed you the reason.

What does Parchment mean when it says "hold for grades"?
