Academy of Economic Studies of Moldova

The Academy of Economic Studies of Moldova (Academia de Studii Economice din Moldova, ASEM) is a university specialising in economics, business and law in the Republic of Moldova. It has six faculties, covering business administration, general economics and law, information technology and economic statistics, international economic relations, finance, and accounting. ASEM also runs the National College of Commerce, doctoral schools in economics and in law, a continuing education school and the National Institute for Economic Research.

Studies are organised in three cycles: bachelor's (licență), master's (masterat) and doctorate. For the 2026-27 intake, master's programmes are offered full-time, part-time and by distance learning. They carry 90 or 120 ECTS credits, which take one and a half or two years of full-time study. Most master's programmes are taught in Romanian, and some are also available in English or Russian.

Doctoral admissions for 2026 have been announced. The university has an international relations office and a service for European projects and programmes.
