AIS International School (also called AIS Altea International School) is a British international school with a Waldorf-Steiner-inspired educational model on the Costa Blanca. Its campus, El Cautivador, lies in the countryside between L'Alfàs del Pi and La Nucía, overlooking Altea and the Mediterranean coast. The school opened in 2012 with a single Class 6 group and moved to El Cautivador in 2016, where restored historic buildings now hold 22 classrooms in seven buildings; the school states it has 270 students.
AIS follows the National Curriculum of England and Wales, combined with Steiner-Waldorf creative work and mindfulness practice. It is accredited by the British Council through the National Association of British Schools in Spain (NABSS) and authorised by the education ministry of the Generalitat Valenciana.
