Andrews University is a private Seventh-day Adventist Christian university in Berrien Springs, in southwest Michigan, United States. Its origins go back to 1874, when a small school with 12 students opened in Battle Creek, Michigan. Andrews enrols about 3,500 undergraduate and graduate students from most US states and about 90 countries and territories.
Teaching is in English, and the university offers more than 150 programmes and degrees in five units: the College of Arts & Sciences, the College of Education & International Services, the College of Health & Human Services, the College of Professions and the Seventh-day Adventist Theological Seminary. Its More For Less programmes combine a bachelor's and a master's or doctoral degree in less time, for example in architecture, business, physical therapy or social work. Students who need to improve their English can start at the Department of Intensive English Programs (ESL).
Undergraduate international students (except Canadians) receive a $14,000 Andrews Partnership Scholarship. Andrews is a residential campus: single undergraduates under 22 live in a university residence hall, and the university also owns about 343 apartments.
