BPP University is a private, career-focused university in the United Kingdom, part of the BPP education group. It is a distinct legal entity with its own degree-awarding powers approved by the Office for Students, and has more than 33,000 students. Its courses are designed with employers and are taught by tutors with professional experience, at study centres in London and other UK cities or online.

BPP University has four schools:

  • BPP University Law School
  • BPP University Business School
  • BPP University School of Technology
  • BPP University School of Healthcare and Nursing

Subjects include law, accountancy and tax, leadership and management, data and analytics, digital marketing, and nursing and healthcare, from degrees and professional qualifications to apprenticeships. The Law School teaches at two London centres, in Holborn and at Waterloo, and in Birmingham, Bristol, Cambridge, Leeds and Manchester; its Bar Training Course, for future barristers, starts in September and January. BPP University is a Student Sponsor and welcomes international students; specialist advisers help them choose a study location and with visa and finance options and finding somewhere to live.

Postgraduate law programmes include the Bar Training Course (BTC), a Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice (Bar) accredited by the Bar Standards Board. It lasts 12 months full time or 24 months part time, starts in September (London, Birmingham, Leeds, Manchester, Bristol) or January (London), and can be upgraded to a BTC (Master's). Entry requires a qualifying law degree, or a non-law degree plus a law conversion course, at a minimum 2:1, fluency in English and membership of an Inn of Court. Applicants with a non-UK degree also need a Certificate of Academic Standing from the Bar Standards Board.

Fees

Bar Training Course fees for the 2026-27 academic year, for international students: £20,150 in London Central (Holborn) and £18,750 in Birmingham, Leeds and Manchester, including the £1,190 Bar Standards Board registration fee. A £350 deposit secures the place. Fees for other courses are shown on each course page.
