Primary and secondary school in Gdansk, Poland
British International School Gdańsk (BISG) is a private international school in Gdańsk, in the Tricity metropolitan area on Poland's Baltic coast. It teaches around 500 children aged 2.5 to 18 in English on three campuses and describes itself as the oldest international school in Gdańsk, with 17 years of operation. Its curriculum combines British education with the requirements of the Polish core curriculum; primary classes follow the IPC/IMYC programme.

According to the school, BISG is the only non-public school in the Tri-City area that offers the IB Diploma Programme. In preschool and early primary, homeroom teachers are supported by teaching assistants. Secondary students take part in language trips to Spain, Germany or France, depending on the foreign language they study, and in workshops and research projects with the University of Gdańsk. Applicants are interviewed to assess their language skills, and secondary applicants also sit entry tests in English and mathematics.

Admission
Parents submit a registration form signed by both parents, online or by email; from Class 2 onwards, school reports for the previous two years are required. All primary and secondary applicants have an informal interview to assess their language skills. Primary candidates need at least a 'good' behaviour grade, and candidates for Classes 4-8 must have enough English to study at their level. Pre-IB applicants (Grade 9) are assessed on their Grade 7 and 8 report cards, entrance exams in English and mathematics (in English), an excellent conduct grade and, if shortlisted, an interview; Pre-IB classes have a maximum of 24 students. A registration fee of PLN 2,000 is charged and refunded if no place is offered.
Fees
Monthly tuition fees for the 2026-27 academic year, in PLN, paid in 10 monthly instalments from September to June:
- Nursery and Reception: PLN 2,900
- Class 0: PLN 3,300
- Classes 1-3: PLN 3,400
- Classes 4-6: PLN 3,600
- Classes 7-10: PLN 4,000
- IB Classes 11-12: PLN 4,500
Other fees: resource fee PLN 2,500 per person (PLN 3,500 in secondary), paid in August or on joining; registration fee PLN 2,000 for new pupils. Families get a 5% discount for the second, third and fourth child. IB Diploma exams are charged separately by the IB (currently 90 EUR per subject and 120 EUR for the Core, plus postage).
