King's College School, Alicante is a private British international school for children aged 2 to 18, on a campus on the outskirts of Alicante. It belongs to King's Group and is part of Inspired Education, an international network of more than 125 private schools. The school follows a British curriculum based on the UK National Curriculum, accredited by British Schools Overseas (BSO), and teaching takes place in an English-speaking environment; in the Lower School, children start in both English and Spanish. Pupils come from more than 45 countries.

The school is an IB World School, and IGCSE pupils also study Spanish language, social studies and Valencian. Students prepare for the PAU, the Spanish university entrance exam. Pupils in Years 5 to 13 have an enrichment afternoon every two weeks, alongside sport, performing arts and public speaking. Admission is open throughout the year: families send an online enquiry, visit the campus or hold an online interview, and submit an application form; pupils from Year 1 take the CAT4 assessment.

Admission

Admissions are open throughout the year. The process has five steps:

  • Online enquiry form
  • Campus tour, or an online interview if a visit is not possible
  • Application form with supporting documents and previous academic reports
  • Entry assessment: a meeting with the Head of Early Years for Nursery and Reception; the online GL CAT4 test from Year 1
  • Offer letter, accepted by returning a signed acceptance letter and paying the one-time enrolment fee
