British School of Valencia (BSV) is a private British school in the Ruzafa neighbourhood of Valencia, founded in 1992 and part of the Cognita group of schools. It teaches pupils of all nationalities aged 2 to 18 on two campuses a five-minute walk apart: the main campus on Calle Filipinas for Early Years, Primary and Secondary, and BSV Nexus on Avenida Peris y Valero for Sixth Form students.
- Early Years Foundation Stage (Pre-Nursery to Reception, ages 2-5)
- Primary (Years 1-6)
- Secondary (Years 7-11), with IGCSEs
- Sixth Form (Years 12-13), with AS and A levels
Teaching follows the British curriculum. BSV is recognised by both the British and Spanish education authorities, and students obtain both A levels and the Spanish Bachillerato. The school has pastoral leads in every key stage, a specialist SEND team and a PSHE programme. Optional services include transport, a dining room, morning and homework clubs, extracurricular activities and a school of music.
Admission follows six steps: enquiry, visit, entry requirements, offer of a place, enrolment documents with payment of the admission fee, and start at school. No English is required up to Year 1; from Year 2, applicants provide school reports and proof of their English level and may be interviewed. Siblings have priority.
