Camino Barcelona is a Spanish language school in central Barcelona, accredited by the Instituto Cervantes. It occupies a whole air-conditioned building about ten minutes' walk from Plaça de Catalunya, with 30 classrooms, three student common areas, an internet café, patios and roof terraces. All teachers are native Spanish speakers with a university degree and specific training in teaching Spanish as a foreign language.

  • Intensive (20 lessons per week) and Super-Intensive (25 lessons per week) morning courses
  • Semi-intensive and conversation courses in the afternoon
  • Extensive evening course (two evenings a week)
  • Long-term courses of 27, 40 or 52 weeks, with optional DELE preparation
  • DELE and A-level exam preparation, Business Spanish, a Christmas course and Spanish with salsa
  • Private lessons and online courses

Course fees include a placement test, attendance and achievement certificates, an afternoon club and most of the seven weekly activities, which include weekend excursions. Students can stay in shared apartments in the school building or with one of more than ten host families within 25 minutes of the school by public transport, with breakfast or half board.

Programmes

  • Intensive: 20 lessons per week, 09:30-13:10
  • Super-Intensive: 25 lessons per week, 09:30-14:30
  • Semi-Intensive (10 lessons) and Semi-Intensive and Conversation (15 lessons per week) in the afternoon
  • Conversation: 5 lessons per week
  • Extensive evening course: two evenings a week, 18:00-20:00
  • Long-term morning, afternoon or evening courses of 27, 40 or 52 weeks, also with DELE preparation
  • DELE and A-level exam preparation, Business Spanish, Christmas course, Spanish and Salsa
  • Private lessons and online courses

The study programme covers levels A1 to C1. Fees include a placement test and certificates of attendance and achievement.

Housing

  • Student apartments in the same building as the school, shared with other international students, with Wi-Fi and use of the kitchen
  • Homestay with one of more than ten host families selected by the school, at most 25 minutes from the school by public transport, with breakfast or half board

Students normally arrive on the Sunday before the course and leave on the Saturday after it ends; an extra night before or after can be booked for a fee, subject to availability.
