Teaching is student-centred: children follow their own pace and interests, learn through hands-on work with Montessori materials, and are grouped in mixed-age classes where older children help younger ones. The programme also includes social and emotional learning, aimed at self-discipline, empathy and teamwork, and education for global citizenship, peace, human rights and sustainable development.
