Saint George's School Marbella is a small private British-style school in Cortijo Blanco, San Pedro de Alcántara, Marbella, for children aged 3 to 8. It was founded in 1996 by Andrew and María José Mardlin, who still own and run it, and opened with 45 pupils. The school states that it is jointly recognised by the British Department for Education and the Spanish Ministry of Education.

Children work within the guidelines of the British National Curriculum and the Spanish education law, and Spanish is given significant weight alongside English. The curriculum combines academics, the arts, tradition and play. Former pupils have moved on to both English- and Spanish-language schools, locally and abroad.

  • One classroom per age group
  • Outdoor playgrounds and a vegetable garden
  • Enclosed outdoor swimming pool (June and September)
  • On-site kitchen and dining room with a menu using locally sourced products
  • Qualified teachers with low staff turnover
