Central Community College (CCC) is a multi-campus community college serving a 25-county area in central Nebraska, covering about 14,000 square miles and more than 300,000 inhabitants. Its central administration is in Grand Island. The college has three main campuses, in Columbus, Grand Island and Hastings, and educational centres in Holdrege, Kearney, Lexington and Ord, with nine locations in total. The Hastings Campus opened in 1966, and the Columbus Campus began in 1969 as Nebraska's first county-supported community college.
CCC offers 37 career and technical education programmes leading to degrees, diplomas and certificates that take two years or less to complete. It also runs an academic transfer programme for students who want to complete the first two years of a bachelor's degree before transferring to a four-year college or university.
In addition to its campuses, the college holds classes in communities across its service area, offers online courses through Central Online, and provides training and development for businesses, industries and other organisations.
