Parkland College was founded in 1973 and is situated in East Central Saskatchewan. The college is a post-high school institution that offers its students different learning opportunities. The programs offered at the school are designed to meet the needs and demands of the students in the area. Students have the opportunity to take part in different learning programs which include skills training certificates and diplomas, bachelor’s degree, and basic adult education. Parkland College offers professional training in firefighting, welding, and accounting among other courses. The college also has a Trades and Technology Centre located in Yorkton. This center allows students to acquire and master skills needed in their careers of choice. Learning is conducted in small classes thus allowing lecturers and students to know each other which enables students to learn easily.
