The Centro Internacional María Montessori (CIMM) is a private Montessori school in Málaga (Calle Godino 3) for children from 18 months to 16 years, with families from many countries. It is accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges Commission on International Education (NEASC), which carries out periodic evaluations, and on that basis operates as a foreign educational centre in Andalusia for early childhood, primary and secondary education (ages 3 to 16). Its 0-3 stage is approved by the Andalusian regional government (BOJA, 14 March 2016) and recognised as a Spanish school.

  • Comunidad Infantil (18 months to 3 years)
  • Casa de Niños (ages 3-6)
  • Taller (ages 6-12)
  • Comunidad de Adolescentes, secondary (ages 12-16)

The school works bilingually in Spanish and English with mostly native-speaker teachers. In the youngest groups two guides share each class, one of whom speaks English; in Taller the English guide spends eight hours a week in class following the curriculum taught in Spanish; and in secondary pupils have five hours of English a week plus one project area taught fully in English. The adolescent programme includes a carpentry workshop and kitchen, work experience, entrepreneurship and volunteering.
