College of Europe

The College of Europe is a postgraduate institute of European studies, founded in 1949 following a decision of the Hague Congress of 1948; it describes itself as the world's first institute of postgraduate studies and training in European affairs. It has three campuses: Bruges in Belgium (law, economics and political science of European affairs), Natolin in Warsaw (interdisciplinary European studies, security and Europe's future) and Tirana in Albania, opened in 2024 and specialising in Southeastern Europe and EU enlargement.

The College offers seven advanced master's programmes, each lasting ten months, during which students live and study together:

• Bruges: MSc in European Economic Studies, Master of European Law (LLM), MA in EU International Relations and Diplomacy Studies, MA in European Political and Governance Studies, MA in Transatlantic Affairs
• Natolin: MA in European Interdisciplinary Studies, including a European Security and Strategy study track
• Tirana: MA in European Transformation and Integration

Each year around 350 students from over 50 countries study in Bruges, where they live in residences across the city. Applications are made online; for the 2027-28 academic year they are open from 14 October 2026 to 13 January 2027. The College also runs executive education and training.
