Columbia Grammar and Preparatory School is located between Central Park West and Columbus Avenue and was established in 1764. It is one of the few schools having the lowest student to faculty ratio in whole of New York - less than 7:1. This ensures an environment of individual attention, catering for each student’s unique needs. The teachers place immense importance on the students’ temperament and character so that they can develop strong foundations of self-belief and self-worth. The school building is one of a kind, comprising computer & science labs, five art studios, 3 libraries, 3 fitness gyms, 3 cafeterias and other academic resources that fulfill the needs of students ranging from PK (Pre-kindergarten) to grade 12. The school also provides various opportunities, enabling students to immerse in activities like art, music & theatre, physical education and athletics programs, which are highly significant for college preparatory purposes. The school is endorsed by the New York State Association of Independent Schools, the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools, and the New York State Board of Regents.
