The Conservatorio Superior de Música de Castilla y León (COSCYL) is a centre for higher artistic education and master's studies in music in Salamanca, in the Castile and León region. Its academic offer covers Grado Superior studies in a range of specialisations and master's programmes.

The three Grado Superior pathways include 25 instrumental, vocal and theoretical-practical specialisations. Master's students do orchestral practice with the Orquesta Sinfónica de Castilla y León.

Admission is by entrance exams, held every year between May and June and specific to each pathway; vacant places are offered again in extraordinary exams in September. First-year students normally enrol for the full 60 ECTS credits. Students can apply for public grants from the Spanish Ministry of Education or the regional government (Junta de Castilla y León). The conservatory holds an open day every year and has an Erasmus+ office.

Programmes

Grado Superior studies in music, with three pathways and 25 instrumental, vocal and theoretical-practical specialisations:

First-year enrolment covers the full 60 ECTS credits; part-time enrolment of at least 30 credits is possible in the first year only for justified reasons, and from the second year onwards.

Admission

Admission is by entrance exams (pruebas de acceso), held every year between May and June, with specific exams for each pathway. Vacant places are offered again in extraordinary exams in September. After passing the exams, students enrol, pay the fees and submit the required documents.

Scholarships and financial aid

COSCYL students can apply for public study grants, such as those awarded nationally by the Spanish Ministry of Education or regionally by the Junta de Castilla y León.
