Conservatorio Superior de Música "Andrés de Vandelvira"

The Conservatorio Superior de Música "Andrés de Vandelvira" is a public higher music conservatory in Jaén, in Andalusia. It teaches the Grado en Enseñanzas Artísticas Superiores de Música (higher arts degree in music) in three specialities: Interpretación (performance), Flamenco and Producción y Gestión (music production and management). According to the conservatory, it was the first public conservatory in Spain to teach Producción y Gestión. Since 2025 it has occupied a new building with 41 classrooms, 20 practice rooms and an auditorium with 312 seats.
The degree lasts four academic years, each divided into two semesters (September to January and February to June), with a usual load of 60 ECTS credits per year. Study paths include:
- Orchestral instruments (Instrumentos Sinfónicos)
- Piano
- Singing (Canto)
- Classical guitar
- Flamenco guitar and flamenco singing (Cante flamenco, offered since 2023-24)
- Music production and management, covering the business side of music
Entry requires passing an entrance test (prueba de acceso) with a sufficient mark; places at Andalusia's higher arts centres are allocated through a single regional district. The conservatory's website has an Erasmus+ section and lists partner institutions under Erasmus agreements.

Admission
Admission to the music degree requires passing a specific entrance test (prueba de acceso) with a sufficient mark. Higher arts education in Andalusia is organised as a single admissions district, and an extraordinary round of entrance tests may be held in September for remaining places. Enrolment takes place in July, or in September for some students, through the Secretaría Virtual of Andalusian schools.

The degree lasts four academic years. Each year has two semesters, from September to January and from February to June, and the usual enrolment is 60 ECTS credits per year.
