Coventry University is a modern university in Coventry, England, with a city-centre campus and a focus on applied research. The Coventry University Group also offers study options in London and Scarborough, a campus in Wrocław (Poland) with English-taught vocational degrees awarded by Coventry University, and offices in China, Kenya, Nigeria and Pakistan. In the Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF) 2023 the university was rated Gold overall, Silver for student outcomes and Gold for student experience.
Teaching is organised in blocks, with practical and immersive learning. Its courses cover areas such as:
- Business, management and marketing
- Nursing, midwifery and healthcare
- Automotive, motorsport and aerospace engineering
- Art, design, film and fashion
Some degrees can be studied 100% online. International students can start in several months of the year (September, November, January, March, May or July), and dedicated regional teams answer their questions. Pre-sessional English courses are available. Students can live in university halls of residence or in private housing; international students are advised to book accommodation before arriving in the UK. Coventry University offers taught master's degrees full-time, part-time or 100% online, with several start dates a year, as well as PhD opportunities and research degrees. Postgraduate study is also available at the London campus in the City of London. According to the university, it was ranked 5th for overall satisfaction in the 2026 Postgraduate Taught Experience Survey (PTES). Coventry University graduates receive a 20% discount on postgraduate tuition fees from September 2026.
Entry requirements depend on the country of the applicant's qualifications and are listed by country on the international entry requirements page. For applicants from Spain:
- Undergraduate: Título de Bachillerato with a grade of 7 or higher overall
- Postgraduate: Título de Licenciado, Ingeniero or Arquitecto with an overall grade of 6.5 or higher

Courses are taught in English. Typical requirements for international applicants:
- Undergraduate: IELTS 6.0 overall with at least 5.5 in each component, or TOEFL iBT 79 (minimum 18 per component)
- Postgraduate: IELTS 6.5 overall with at least 5.5 in each component, or TOEFL iBT 88 (minimum 19 per component)
Some courses ask for a higher level. Pre-sessional English courses are available for international students.
Coventry University offers scholarships for international students towards tuition fees; all awards are subject to availability, visa requirements, specific criteria and a competitive application. Self-funded international students can pay in instalments. Students from an EU country, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway or Switzerland may be eligible for a Tuition Fee Loan and help with living costs. Coventry University graduates receive a 20% discount on postgraduate tuition from September 2026.
Students can choose between university halls of residence and privately owned housing, and a guaranteed room in halls is offered. International students, including pre-sessional English students, should book accommodation before arriving in the UK. Living in halls gives access to a student peer support network.
