The University of Strathclyde is a university in Glasgow, Scotland, with its campus in the city centre, five minutes from George Square. Its motto is "The Place of Useful Learning". Teaching and research are organised in four faculties:

  • Faculty of Engineering, including Architecture and Naval Architecture, Ocean and Marine Engineering
  • Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, including Education, Law and Psychological Sciences and Health
  • Faculty of Science, including Computer and Information Sciences, Physics and Pharmacy and Biomedical Sciences
  • Strathclyde Business School

Students can choose undergraduate degrees, including single and joint honours degrees listed with UCAS codes, as well as taught postgraduate and postgraduate research programmes; some courses have a January intake (2027). Other options include a campus in Bahrain, Strathclyde Online Learning, university preparation programmes, the Centre for Lifelong Learning and apprenticeship degrees. The university was named Scottish University of the Year in The Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide 2026 and has more than 225,000 alumni. It offers halls of residence for undergraduate, postgraduate and exchange students; applications for accommodation starting in September 2026 and January 2027 are open.

Housing

The university has halls of residence with separate options and application routes for undergraduate, postgraduate and exchange students, and a ResLife programme for residents. Applications for accommodation from September 2026 and January 2027 are open; places are allocated under the University Accommodation Allocation Policy 2026/27.
