Queens College is a college of the City University of New York (CUNY) in the borough of Queens, New York City (United States). Its campus has 36 buildings on 80 acres, and it offers an education in the liberal arts and sciences.

Undergraduates choose a major or, with faculty advisors, design their own interdisciplinary major. Honours options include the Macaulay Honors College, which provides full tuition, a laptop and study abroad programmes. Experiential learning ranges from community service and internships to winter-term field work, and the college fields 19 men's and women's sports teams.

At graduate level there are more than 100 master's degrees and over 40 accelerated master's programmes, in areas such as the arts, computer science, data analytics, education, library science, media, psychology and risk management. International students pay the out-of-state tuition rate. On campus, The Summit Apartments residence is open to CUNY students, with priority for Queens College students.

More than 100 master's and certificate programmes and over 40 accelerated master's, in areas such as the arts, computer science, data analytics, education, library science, media, psychology and risk management. Examples include the MS in Accounting, MS in Actuarial Risk Management, MA in Applied Behavior Analysis and MS in Applied Environmental Geoscience. Many programmes require a bachelor's degree with a GPA of at least 3.0.

Fees

Tuition rates for out-of-state and international students, effective from Fall 2023:

  • Undergraduate degree students: US$620 per credit
  • Graduate degree students: US$855 per credit

There is no maximum tuition charge at these rates. Mandatory student fees are charged on top each semester. Application fee: US$65 for entering undergraduates, US$70 for transfer students and US$75 for graduate students.

Housing

The Summit Apartments is the on-campus residence. Any CUNY student can apply, with first priority for Queens College students; new residents are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. Rooms are furnished, with single bedrooms in four-bedroom units or shared bedrooms in two-bedroom units. Costs include all utilities and no meal plan is required. Amenities include 24-hour security, air conditioning, wireless internet, free laundry, a fitness centre and study lounges. Contracts run for one academic year, and summer housing is available.
